Desko Get early access
The operating system for your work apps

Every work app. One desktop for each project.

Desko gives the web tools you use every day a real desktop: a workspace for each project, windows that snap into place, accounts you sign in to once, and a layout that waits for you on any computer.

1Open apps from the desktop
2Snap them into a layout
3Switch to another workspace

Works with the web apps you already use. Add any other one by its address.

Workspaces

A desktop for every kind of work.

Web Dev, Design, Admin: each workspace keeps its own apps, wallpaper, layout and accounts. Switch with one click or a shortcut, and every window is where you left it, down to the page each app was on.

  • Its own name, color, icon and wallpaper
  • Startup apps open as you enter
  • Apps you are not using sleep to save memory and keep a picture of where they were

Windows and layouts

Drag, snap, done.

Windows move, resize, minimize and maximize like on any desktop. Drag one to an edge or a corner to snap it, or pick a split template and every app drops into its slot. Try the templates.

  • Templates: two columns, three columns, one plus two, two by two
  • Layouts save themselves and come back exactly
  • Find in page with Ctrl+F, zoom and mute per app

Accounts

Sign in once. Every app follows.

Add your accounts once, like Personal or Client X. Each one is its own sealed sign-in, so apps open already signed in and work never mixes with personal. Open the same app twice with two accounts, side by side.

  • Several accounts per provider: Google, Microsoft, Apple, GitHub and more
  • Switch account from the window's title bar
  • Sign-in data is encrypted on your computer and guarded by app lock

Cloud storage

Each workspace keeps its files where you choose.

Connect Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox and give each workspace its own storage: client work on one drive, your own projects on another. Browse in File Explorer, drag files into apps and drag results back out.

  • You choose the access level for every connection
  • Transfers wait in a queue, resume and show their progress
  • A folder on this computer works too

Workspace Assistant

An assistant that knows this workspace.

Ask across the tools connected to a workspace: what is due this week in Linear and Notion, or what changed in GitHub since yesterday. Pick the AI for each workspace and bring your own key. Anything that changes your data waits for your approval.

  • Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini, chosen per workspace
  • Your own API key, kept on your computer
  • Nothing a tool or the AI writes can approve a change

Same desktop everywhere

Sign in on another computer. Everything is there.

Every setting is stored with your account on the server: workspaces, apps, folders, storage choices, wallpaper, and every open window with its place, in every workspace. Install Desko on a new computer, sign in, and it looks exactly as you left it.

  • Works offline and syncs in the background
  • Site sign-ins and passwords never leave your computer
  • See your devices and sign one out from afar

Share workspaces

Built a great workspace? Share it in one click.

Publish any workspace to the Workspace Library with a title, description and category, for everyone or only for people with the link. Others add it as a new workspace with the same apps, desktop folders, storage folders, startup apps, window arrangement and background. Update it or take it down whenever you like.

  • It never carries your accounts, sign-ins, files or page addresses
  • Apps from outside the catalog are shown for approval before they are added
  • Official packs and community templates, by category and search

Privacy

Your sign-ins stay on your computer.

Sealed sessionsCookies and site data are encrypted with your computer's own key. App lock asks for your password before any of it opens.
Sync that stays out of your businessYour desktop syncs over HTTPS as documents the server stores and passes on without reading what is inside. Site sign-ins never sync at all. End-to-end encryption is on the roadmap.
You approve changesThe assistant and tool links can read what you allow. Anything that changes data asks you first, unless you said a link may run on its own.

Put your work on one desk.

The beta is coming to Windows first. Leave your email and we will write once, when it opens. Nothing else.

We keep only your email and language. How to remove it.
